Everything a booth needs, in one app.

Feature by feature, with what you can adjust in the app. Your plan only decides which modes are unlocked; everything else is in every plan.

Events and operating modes

One profile per party.

Each event keeps its own frames, camera, settings and photo folders. From the events board you press Launch to open the booth; after the party, duplicate it for the next one instead of starting over.

Events board: Camera, Frames, Settings, Duplicate, Launch.

On this screen

  1. Create event Add a new event. The list on the left shows each event’s frame and creation date.

  2. Status The green “Ready to launch” dot means the event has the frames and settings it needs.

  3. Frame preview The frame attached to this event, exactly as guests will see it.

  4. Camera · Frames · Settings Jump straight to this event’s own settings.

  5. Duplicate · Rename · Delete Duplicate to reuse for the next party. Delete is red so it’s hard to hit by accident.

  6. Launch Open the guest screen and start taking sessions.

  7. Quit · Sign out The signed-in account (Admin) sits top right, with sign-out and quit.

General settings: pick a group to set up for the event being configured.

On this screen

  1. Event being configured Items tagged Event apply only to this event; other events are untouched.

  2. Display text Landing, capture-screen and event message text.

  3. Screen & layout Screen orientation and aspect ratio.

  4. Storage Folders for RAW and processed photos.

  5. Media output Make a video after each session and choose its resolution.

Cameras and live view

Plug in any of the big four.

Fortomedia drives cameras through the official Canon, Sony, Nikon and Fujifilm SDKs and picks the right one for the camera plugged in. No dedicated camera yet? Use a webcam, an HDMI source, a hot folder or digiCamControl.

Capture source
Maker SDK (Canon EDSDK, Sony Camera Remote, Nikon MAID, Fujifilm X), webcam, hot folder, digiCamControl.
Live view resolution
Native, 640p, 960p or 1280p — go lower for smoother live view on modest PCs.

Mirror
Flip live view and the photo like a mirror so guests pose naturally.
Live view as background

Capture settings

You set the rhythm.

Set the countdown, the pause between shots and a time limit for every step so one group can’t hold the booth for too long.

Capture settings: countdown, pauses, time per step.

On this screen

  1. Capture mode Remote shutter is off. “Follow the frame’s photo count” is on, so the shot count (6) comes from the chosen frame.

  2. Capture timing A 6-second countdown per shot and a 0.5-second pause after each one.

  3. Step timers Session 120 s, frame pick 60, compose 240, filter pick 240, print wait 30 seconds.

Frames and Layout maker

Design a frame, use it right away.

Bring in a PNG; the Layout maker punches transparent slots for guest photos and adds the frame to the event. Frames are grouped so guests can choose a set, and they sync to every booth.

Layout maker: paint a region with the colour wand and it becomes a slot with coordinates.

On this screen

  1. Toolbar Colour wand, rectangle, add brush, erase brush, pan, undo, redo.

  2. PNG files Add PNG frames. Each file shows its size and slot count, e.g. 1418 × 2126 · 4 slots.

  3. Numbered slots Each region becomes a numbered, colour-coded slot, in the order photos will be placed.

  4. Selection settings Colour tolerance (24), select similar colours across the image, brush radius (18 px).

  5. Source coordinates X, Y, width and height of the selected slot — edit by hand for pixel accuracy.

  6. Slot list Every slot with its coordinates; edit or delete each one.

  7. Zoom · Confirm Fit, 100 %, current zoom. Confirm to add the frame to the event.

AI retouching

Better skin, happier guests, no internet.

The beauty kit runs on the booth PC itself and never sends photos anywhere. You decide which tools guests see on the filter screen; guests hold a finger on the photo to compare with the original.

Colour filters and stickers

Printing and cut calibration

Cuts in the right place, no wasted paper.

Fortomedia prints on DNP printers with a cutter and ships a cut-calibration tool: print a test sheet, enter the measured offsets, preview the cut lines before saving. Need a regular printer? Turn on free printing.

Cut calibration: enter offsets, preview the cut lines.

On this screen

  1. Print and read six rulers Print a test sheet with no compensation and measure six points. 1 px at 300 dpi ≈ 0.085 mm, so print 3 sheets and average.

  2. Enter measured offsets Outer edges of both strips, upper and lower cut lines, top and bottom edges — in single pixels.

  3. Tolerance & skew Safety margins for the cut line and outer edge. Turn on skew compensation only when the paper drifts consistently.

  4. Cut preview Choose a source (sample frame, calibration sheet, any photo) and compare before and after compensation.

  5. Magnify the error See the real offset, ×4 or ×8, on Strip 1 + Strip 2.

  6. Test sheet · Check sheet · Save Print the test sheet to measure, print the check sheet to confirm, then save.

Every session gets a QR code; guests scan it to open a phone gallery and save their photos. Uploads go through a retrying queue, and photos can be turned into a video after each session.
